Remember My Chains

REMEMBER MY CHAINS!

The first time reading those words hit me right between my eyes.

Bound, restrained, constricted 

to

something

at the expense of another's will's and way's.

One chain around my mind.

One chain around my mouth.

One chain around my heart.

One chain around my hands.

One chain around my feet.

A series of links connected

to lies, deception, hurt, abuse, shame, abandonment, rejection

locked and imprisoned to

"We baptize you in the name of the 

Father, the son 

and God's spirit-directed organization."

My mind 

chained to all I ever knew.

My mouth 

trained to speak memorized publication quotes.

My heart 

aching for something more.

My hands 

prepped with highlighter, pen and publication ready to give an answer.

My feet 

walking tirelessly day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year.

REMEMBER MY CHAINS!

The next time around reading those words hit me right to the heart.

Bound

for

Someone

at the expense of Another's sacrifice for me.

One chain around my mind.

One chain around my mouth.

One chain around my heart.

One chain around my hands.

One chain around my feet.

My mind protected 

by the helmet of salvation.

My mouth to speak 

evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.

 My heart freely confessing 

Jesus is Lord 

and believing that Jesus was raised from the dead "physically", I would then be saved.

My hands willing 

Here I am send me!

My feet fitted 

with peace and ready to share the Gospel that was shared with me.

Then discovering 

One chain around my soul!

With all the promises that contained 

all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge, the realities of heaven, an inheritance, opportunities to speak about God's mysterious plan concerning Christ.

Path Of Peace

When you are perpetually looking at your past and focusing on 

every upset

every 'what if' 

every disappointment

you miss out on what today has to offer.

The day passes like sand sifted through your finger tips.

Today God has a path for you to take.

Will you choose to walk in it?

Today He wants to guide you?

Will you choose to follow Him?

Today God wants to rescue you?

Will you choose Him to save you?

God has designed a path for your life.

You are not a mistake.

You are not an accident.

Nothing is by chance.

Every twist, every turn, every wrench thrown your way

is a part of a greater plan.

Today God says to you:

I have great power and I will save you.

I have purchased your freedom.

I have saved you from your enemies all the ones who hate you.

I have told you your sins can be forgiven.

His plan is to show you that He is a God who is tender and caring.

His plan is to shine on 

YOU

the one who is living in darkness.

His plan is to guide your feet on the path of peace.

His plan for you is to be holy and godly as long as you live.

His plan for you child is to grow up and make your spirit strong!

will I CHOOSE to be REactive or PRO active ?

Therefore, GET YOUR MINDS (and hearts)* READY FOR ACTION, being SELF-DISCIPLINED, and set your hope COMPLETELY ON THE GRACE TO BE BROUGHT TO YOU at the REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST.  As obedient children, DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THE DESIRES OF YOUR FORMER IGNORANCE but, as the One who called you is holy, you also are to be holy in ALL YOUR CONDUCT; for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.

I need to think.

I need to Intentionally and Consciously 

STOP and think.

I need to choose to 

NOT be

REactive.

I need to make a choice 

to be 

PROactive.

When I 

read something 

hear something

see something

when I become aware of something

 that is contradictory to the truth (my truth is God's word),

I can prepare myself in advance.

I will prepare myself in advance.

As I consciously and intentionally choose to pray

 I will ask the Holy Spirit 

to produce in me self-control 

so that I will maintain the action 

of being PROactive and not REactive.

When I pray 

I will seek God for wisdom and peace.

When I see or hear 

contradictions to His word 

I will trust 

the peace and wisdom 

that He will fill me with in that moment

because of the time I spent with Him in prayer. 

I trust He will be my strength in time of need.

I trust He will be the wisdom and peace that I need. 

I boldy went before the throne of grace 

and presented my request

and I trust and BELIEVE

that He will answer my prayer in my great time of need.

I will look to God and do 

His will and His purpose 

in PEACE.

I will HOPE COMPLETELY ON THE GRACE AND REVELATION 

not only that Jesus Christ brought me 

on my day of salvation when I was ignorant,

but also to me in this very moment.

Inauguration 2017

I have just watched my first Inauguration.

Twenty-three years ago I didn't know the definition of the word Inauguration.

Information control is something some of you understand just as well as I do.

Here is the list of Presidents that have been in office since I was born.

Gerald Ford 1974-1977

Jimmy Carter 1977-1981

Ronald Reagan 1981-1989

George Bush 1989-1993

Bill Clinton 1993-2001

George W. Bush 2001-2009

Barack Obama 2009-2017

Donald Trump 2017

(I know I just gave away my age.)

As I watch the TV screen

I observe all these men standing to protect this one man.

I see so many people for.

I see so many people against.

I see people taking a stance.

I see people holding their ground for 

what they believe in and stand for.

Happiness

Hate

Acceptance

Disapproval

Opinions

Arguments

Debates

Were do I sit or should I say stand?

I sit in awe and thankfulness 

that I have the freedom of mind and choice 

today to watch this Inauguration.

I sit in awe and thankfulness 

that I have the freedom to leave my TV on or turn it off.

I sit in awe and thankfulness 

to not only know 

but 

trust and believe in the fact that:

"The Lord abides forever; He has established His throne for judgment, 

And He will judge the world in righteousness."

I sit in awe and thankfulness 

to not only know 

but 

trust and believe in the fact that:

"For the kingdom is the LORD'S and He rules over the nations."

I sit in awe and thankfulness 

to not only know 

but 

trust and believe in the fact that:

"The government will be on his shoulders.  

And he will be called 

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

I stand 

and I am reminded 

to honor God and His word above all else

and I trust God and His word that:

"There is no authority except from God, 

and those that exist have been instituted by God.

Therefore whoever resists the authorities resits what God has appointed, 

and those who resist will incur judgment..."

Like those men who willing stand ready to give their life to protect and defend 

our new President and each one before him and after him...

I willing stand ready to protect, defend and give an answer for the God 

who stood and died on my behalf, Jesus Christ.

I stand today making a choice 

to not 

live and act and behave 

the way I was raised to act 

towards those in government.

I choose

not to mock 

not to ridicule 

not to degrade 

not to disrespect

but honor and pray 

for our new President Donald Trump.

I will 

"Be subject for the Lord’s sake to every human institution, 

whether it be to the emperor as supreme, 

or to governors as sent by him to punish those who do evil 

and to praise those who do good. 

For this is the will of God, 

that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish people."

I will

 "Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, 

but living as servants of God. 

Honor everyone. 

Love the brotherhood. 

Fear God. 

Honor the emperor." 

And I 
"Exhort to you

first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions 

and giving of thanks, 

be made for all men; 

for kings and all those in authority, 

that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 

For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people."
